TutorAfrika may allow users to sign in using Google. Where you choose Google Sign-In, we may receive basic Google account information needed to create or authenticate your TutorAfrika account, such as your name and email address.

TutorAfrika uses Google Meet to support live online lessons. Where applicable, lesson information and meeting links may be shared with the relevant learner, parent or guardian and tutor so that the lesson can take place.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the safety of a learner or another person, or to protect TutorAfrika’s rights and security.

Where a learner is under 18, information relevant to delivering the learner’s lessons may be shared with the parent or legal guardian and assigned tutor as necessary.

TutorAfrika welcomes children and adult learners. Where a learner is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the learner’s account and provide any consent required by applicable law.

We collect only information reasonably necessary to provide and manage the learner’s lessons and services. This may include the child’s name, relevant age information, language being learned, booking details and information needed by the assigned tutor to deliver the lesson.

Children’s personal information is not sold or used for behavioural advertising. We use it to provide lessons, manage bookings, communicate with the parent or guardian, support safeguarding and comply with our legal obligations.

Parents or guardians may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of their child’s personal information, subject to applicable law and any information we are required to retain.
